We have been actively writing new music as we take a brief break from playing full band shows.. We still are out on the Chicago scene performing intimate acoustic sets though! Next up, Uncommon Ground and Portage Theater, two of Chicago’s coolest stages for sure

Man, the band and I are all stoked to play The Metro, headlining Aug 31st, Friday! That is this week, cant believe it.. We are working tremendously hard on new material to play there and are pleased to say we will have a tune that is not only on the first record but that hasn’t ever been played before!!

We have a guest drummer, did I mention that? Hes AMAZING, one of the best in Chicago! His name is Larry Beers, he plays with Mucca Pazza, Anna Soltys and just about everyone and anyone in Chicago that is lucky We are so glad he can join us!!

The show is part of the Metro 30th Anniversary Show Series, what a pleasure it is to celebrate with them!!

Today the Jennifer Hall Daytrotter Session was posted!! We recorded it back in May so it was such a treat to get the daily email and see the session listed. The guys there were so helpful and made us feel at home in the studio. With a little whiskey, Noam’s sweet guitar skills and just the minimum hours of sleep necessary we had a great session.

We will be playing at Schubas tomorrow doing an acoustic set with Antony and The Tramps and Joseph Messing!! If you aren’t free tomorrow, Thursday the 19th, stop by Wicker Park Fest on Sunday July 29th. The full band and I play that day, Sunday with Joe Pug, Kill Hannah and plenty of other stellar acts. We hope you can join us!!

I am really excited to have just posted new summer show dates for this year!! Venues and cities include Schubas and Wicker Park Fest in Chicago, The Mill in Iowa City, Cafe Paradiso in Fairfield, The Bank in Dubuque, and lastly (for now!) Otto’s in DeKalb with the most wonderful The Hudson Branch!

It would be great to see you at a show, I hope you can make it out!!

We are playing Wicker Park Fest, how exciting! there are some sweet bands on the bill for Sunday, July 29th. I hope you can make it to the show! I think it will be a blast.

As of today, we will also be opening for Antony and The tramps at Schubas on July 19th! I know this will be a super fun night.. Perhaps we will see you there!

Oh, what fun Daytrotter was! Noam and I left Chicago around 9 AM, bright and early for a fun filled day.. We recorded four songs, 3 originals, 1 cover and it was such a blast.. Pics are on FB!!

Many thanks to Whitney Reynolds of Weekends With Whitney on NBC for having me on their Salute Your Troops Memorial Day TV Special. I cant wait for it to air!! I didnt know I was going to be singing God Bless America but I was so honored to do so in closing out the special Air dates to be announced!

I was an extra for MTV’s COmedy series Underemployed, yes! I never thought I would be decked out in Army gear. It was such a lengthy process getting the outfit on; the expereince made me really think about what it must be like not only to correctly dress like a soldier but to have to fight every day like a soldier would. I am really grateful for all the fight they put in for our country.. Really incredible stuff. The “youtube video” we shot will air in an upcoming episode, us being one of the characters’ fellow friends and soldiers making a silly video for a loved one back in the US. It is really silly too

Ready for more adventures!! Cant wait to see what lies ahead.

The band and I are so excited to be playing Martyrs in Chicago this Saturday.. we are working hard on new music and we are thrilled to give them life for the first time Saturday.

We have a special guest guitarist for the show, SXSW stories to share and plenty of Cds for sale!

The music starts at 9 PM, tickets are $10 and the show is 21 and up.
